With every January, there comes an opportunity upon returning to the studio. The haze of the holiday settles and the New Year offers a time to start over. Clients arrive excited about their Pilates practice, revived and ready to set fresh goals.
But where to begin in supporting them?
This Contrology Clinic will provide an opportunity to check back in – reviewing the themes of the classical order, the purpose behind the repertoire, and the tenets of movement that 1st generation teacher Jay Grimes gleaned from his time with Joe & Clara Pilates.
With that in mind we’ll examine:
- Strategies to restart & set goals for the New Year.
- Techniques to use at the top of a session to help folks settle & focus.
- A review of common pre Pilates exercises, and when they’re appropriate to pull out of the teaching toolbox.
- Fancy finishes that are fun to end with…keeping clients happy about their work, wanting to come back for more.
