As you may know, I’m proud to say that I’m a two time survivor of the big C. Initially diagnosed in 2011, I owe my life to Dr Feldman and the amazing staff at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The care and treatment that they have provided since then is the reason I’m still here with you all.
I’ve once again joined up with team “Nutcrackers” for this year’s Cycle for Survival. The Nutcrackers raise funds specifically for germ cell tumor research at MSK. This includes both testicular and ovarian cancers as well as more rare head and neck presentations. These cancers, like all rare cancers, disproportionately affect the young – testicular cancer is the most common cancer among men aged 21-39.

Since the first event in 2007, there have been many great advances in rare cancer research and treatment. But there’s still more work to be done, and we won’t stop fighting until every person facing a rare cancer has a treatment for their disease.
